DESCRIPTION:
WW - Cyma WWW Dirty Dozen, Ministry of Defence issued WWII, manual wind, 38mm x 44mm to lug tips, 18mm lug width, original stainless steel stepped bezel case with screw back marked with Ministry of Defence stock numbers and reference numbers, engraved service number, rank and name of the "original owner," black leather strap, original black dial with radium painted Arabic numerals and white painted broad arrow insignia, radium lume plots, 15J, Ministry of Defence case s#P25621, movement s#381587, triple signed. This watch is one of the "Dirty Dozen," a group of twelve different Swiss watches commissioned by the British Ministry of Defence in the closing stages of World War II.
CONDITION:
Mvt: Running, excellent cosmetic mvt condition overall, light oxide to steelwork, light discoloration to plates; excellent-plus dial with light surface spotting; fine-plus hands with relumed minute hand; unpolished case shows light wear, at some point the solid lug bars were removed and lug holes drilled, light dings on lugs; crown shows very little wear; good plastic crystal.
